Lately I have found myself under some scrutiny due to the fact that I no longer attend my religion. I have pondered, prayed and meditated on this for the reason of sharing my belief system and to help those see that even though I do not attend a religion (yet I am a student of many religions) I have a sound belief system that transcends that of "commandments, laws and condemnation". Please note that this article is not one of anti-religion nor to try and coerce those that do belong to a religion to leave it. I have a firm belief that most religions, at their core, are fantastic catalysts for good and anything that helps you to have a relationship with the divine, I have my cheerleaders outfit on and pom poms in hand. Also, that whether one goes through the double doors into a place of worship does not define oneself nor their relationship with God.
Transcend: verb (used with object) 1. to rise above or go beyond; overpass; exceed.
Transcend does not imply removing the spiritual foundation that has brought you to where you are at, but to add to it. It is all inclusive in its meaning to be progressive and your belief system, to enlighten oneself (to add light to). To have reverence and respect for it but to not let it stop you from progressing. To not cut off your nose in spite of your face.
Studying several religions and the great avatars of the world I have always looked for the lowest common denominator, that which is common across the board, and found that there is a lot and more found that is over-looked due to ones self-defeating beliefs on *illusions, that there is a higher way to think. That "Thou shalt not kill" is more of a proverbial slap in the face because one would know that (according to Buddhism) when we hurt someone we hurt ourselves, so the commandment is no longer necessary. A way that removes what doesn't serve us and grounds us in a reality that is freeing. A perspective that transcends and moves one to a powerful state of being. Where laws and commandments are not needed nor are they required, that when it is stated in the Bible that Heaven is within oneself and that Heaven is on the Earth, it is a very real and tangible thing. Looking at the world and the state that it is in, one can deduce that the current constructs are not working...that a new vision, perception, and realization is long over due. An evolution of thought and consciousness is needed and applied on the micro cosmic level (small/self) so that "life" will change on the macro cosmic level (large/planet-wide). The following, a simplified list, is what I have found that makes that evolving leap of our thoughts, belief systems, and knowledge to one that transcends religion:

I am a god unmanifest in a universe of unlimited potentialities and because I am a creator, my belief system is paramount. I create what I believe.
If I choose to manifest my higher self I must believe, think, speak and act that:
1. I love unconditionally, because...
2. I am connected to everyone and everything, even God, Life, Source Energy, etc. And...
3. I require nothing for there is an abundance of everything. And...
4. I am equal to all, no judgement exists because all others are gods unmanifest. (whether they are conscious of this or not). And...
5. I can not fail. And...
6. I do not fear because "I", The Self, Spirit can not die. And...
7. I do not place conditions/expectations on others except what I place upon myself, aka unconditional love of oneself.
and by doing so "I AM PEACE" and I attract, create and manifest what "I AM"
No matter what walk of life you come from and what religion you belong to or not belong to, if one tests each one of these points, I mean truly tests them, studies them and applies them you will experience what God or Life does at every moment; Joy in your own creation as the creator of Heaven within yourself and on earth. This involution (internal evolution) will bless what has brought you to this point in your path and catapult you to a higher understanding that you are not here to be tested but to be in the "Likeness of God"...to create and find joy in that creation. To not just know your belief system, but to experience it. Like others, I have adopted that "we are not humans having a spiritual experience but spirits having a human experience".
I have found God and a friendship with the divine by testing, trying and desiring these 7 things that I have stated. And by finding this it has moved me from a belief, hope and faith to a knowledge, that there is a god within me.
Does this mean that I am perfect and flawless? Heavens NO! But it is a step in the right direction and something I strive for in myself and my coaching. And, of course, this article is quick peek into a much larger picture. This is where my coaching comes in, to help change perspectives and thought patterns so you can find a level of peace that resonates with you. To help find purpose and to change the world that is not serving our higher selves to one that does.
So ask yourself and be candid, Who am I? and What do I want? What am I currently creating...a life of stress, pain and suffering or one of love (unconditional love not a counterfeit form), joy and peace? And could there possibly be a better way that adds to your current religion and belief system and not only serves our higher self but serves the higher self in other?
Think, speak, and act what you believe and you can not help but see the world change to that very thing.
